Frequently Asked Questions

Here and Now

When will Existing_Game_Title come to iOS/iPadOS/macOS/tvOS?

All our pre-existing titles, along with new ones, will eventually come to Apple platforms as each is ready for release. As a general rule, you can expect smaller titles to be released sooner. Larger, more complicated titles will obviously spend longer in development.

Why did you decide to transition to Apple platforms?

Most blind and low-vision users have access to at least one of Apple’s platforms these days, thanks to VoiceOver. By focusing on Apple platforms, we can target various device types (iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, and Mac), and use advanced technologies like fully 3D Spatial Audio, touch, haptics, console game controllers, and more. Collectively, these factors, along with others, will allow us to offer the highest quality games to the widest possible audience.

SilverDollar and ChangeReaction are Mac only. 😭 When will they be available on iOS?

SilverDollar and ChangeReaction were existing titles for macOS already. We updated them with new features in versions 2.0 and 3.0, respectively. iOS/iPadOS/tvOS versions of these are planned for the future, but they are not imminent.

How will player control/input work on Draconis’s upcoming releases?

The specifics of in-game controls can vary widely depending on the style of game. As much as is practical, we plan to support touch, game controllers, keyboard, and motion controls in all of our forthcoming releases.

How do I connect/use a game controller with my Apple device?

In general, you can use Bluetooth or USB connections with many popular controller types, such as Playstation Dualshock 4/Dualsense 5, Xbox X/S, Nintendo Switch, or MFI (Made For iPhone) controllers. Check out the official Apple Support pages for more information.

Legacy FAQ

Why not give your old Windows games away for free?

Draconis Entertainment is not shutting down, nor are we abandoning any of our games. We are updating them using modern technologies on Apple platforms. It wouldn’t be fair, or make business sense, to give games away for free on one platform while charging for them on others.

Can I get a replacement key for an old Windows game?

You can request a replacement key from the Legacy section of our site. It is very important to provide accurate information, including the name the game was registered under and the email address originally used to make the purchase.
